King’s Leigh was borne out of respect for its environment and rich history. Developer Dacland’s signature community is named to acknowledge the land’s native legacy, the indigenous Yawangi tribe, whose last survivor was ‘King Bill Leigh’.

ULS Group were commissioned to construct a central reserve & playground within a unique brief. The reserve designer, Spiire, describe their vision: "Our Landscape team’s vision was to view the park as an opportunity for exploratory and imaginative play for children of all ages and abilities. We engaged a fairy-tale theme for the playspace, incorporating bright colours and unique ideas."

Featuring David Bromley original artwork on organically shaped concrete walls, the peek-a-boo factor is plentiful. "The park includes a playground area inspired by the integration of art in the landscape. The varied and non-prescriptive playspace provides the opportunity to build motor-skills and encourage active play behaviours."
